Africa Women Summit

The Africa Women Summit (AWS) is a flagship project of the Engage, Empower, Educate Initiative (EEE Initiative), a non-governmental organization dedicated to providing platforms for women and young people to lead in Africa’s development and since its inception in 2018 it has become a transformative platform that unites changemakers, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and influential women from across Africa and the diaspora. It is a three-day event that fosters networking, knowledge exchange, partnerships, and strategic discussions to address critical issues affecting women and communities across the continent.      

The past five editions of the summit which were held in Nigeria, Rwanda, Dubai, South Africa, and Kenya have inspired groundbreaking initiatives and collaborations that have positively impacted the lives of African women and girls. Notable successes include women venturing into political leadership positions, Career breakthroughs, the Girl Child Summit and transformative projects such as the Back to-School Initiative, which has reintegrated over 1000 girls from economically disadvantaged backgrounds into education systems in Nigeria and Rwanda.      

This summit’s theme reflects its goal to inspire African women to harness their potential, rise above challenges, and make lasting impacts in their communities. It aims to convene global thought leaders, policymakers, and advocates to foster collaboration and share actionable strategies to advance gender equality and women’s leadership
